There is so much to see and do in Hollywood so it can get really stressful traveling there for a first time, but hopefully my tips and tricks can help you have a blast.

The Hollywood sign has been on my bucket list forever so I was so excited to finally see it. The sign is definitely a sight that will grab your attention and you’ll see it for miles before you finally get to Lake Hollywood park. I suggest checking out the sign when you have free time, so if you are driving into Hollywood going before you check in to your hotel would be a great idea…just make sure you’re camera ready :) You could always take a breakfast or enjoy a picnic there, but you won’t find any restrooms so plan accordingly.

Another iconic activity to do in Hollywood is see the Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame spans over 1.3 miles and has some of the worlds most famous icons so it can be tricky to catch them all. If you have a favorite celebrity who you really want to see, look the star location up online, it will make it a lot easier to find them.

If you enjoy the behind the scenes action then the Warner Brothers Studio Tour is for you! Similar to the Universal Studio Tour you will be able to walk around on many sets of your favorite shows and movies. After the one hour tour with your guide, you will be taken to two different museums that give you a more hands on experience. The first one lets you sit on the couch from F.R.I.E.N.D.S, take a deeper look into costume designing and let’s you visit Café Perk. The second museum shows you how they use animation and sound in their movies. After the two museums you will get the chance to hold a real Oscar in their Celebration of Awards Season.

The final activity that we did in Hollywood, was go to a Los Angeles Dodgers game. At the game we got two Dodger dogs, Garlic Fries, and a Churro Sunday. I personally was not impressed by the Dodger dog because it was a plain just a plain hotdog. My family and I really like the Garlic Fries and the Churro Sunday. The only thing I would advise is when you get in line for the Churro Sunday, prepare to wait for twenty to forty minutes because the line does get really long.

Overall, Hollywood has so many fun activities to do, the whole family will love it!

My Tips:

  1. Try to plan as much as possible, but leave a little wiggle room in-between activities, for traffic or unexpected problems

  2. ALWAYS have water on you! No matter what your plans are for the day, make sure there is plenty to drink because if you don't, you could find yourself paying $2 for a water when you could of brought one for FREE.

  3. If you are planning on visiting the Beverly Hills sign, and Rodeo Drive, visit them on the same day because they are within walking distance.
