Boston is a very historic city and is definitely a place you should visit. The first activity that we did was walking The Freedom Trail. The Freedom Trail is 2.5 miles full of history. It only took us two hours. I enjoyed it so much, that I asked my mom to do it again and we even did it in the rain! On the Freedom Trail some of the sights you will see: Park Street Church, Granary Burying Ground, King's Chapel and Burying Ground, Benjamin Franklin Statue, Old South Meeting House(they met to begin the Boston Tea Party), Old State House(oldest building in Boston), Boston Massacre Site, Paul Revere House, Old North Church (Paul Revere's midnight ride), Copp's Hill Burying Ground, USS Constitution, Bunker Hill Monument, etc. The Freedom Trail is a memorable experience because you are walking along the same grounds many forefathers. I promise you will not be disappointed while walking this trail.

Another amazing attraction is the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. You felt like you were really apart of the Boston Tea Party by walking the boats, throwing in replica boxes of tea, and seeing an original box of tea. If you like baseball, then you should go to a Boston Red Sox game. If you have kids, they have a great kids area that allows kids to become a pitcher, batting cage, get your face painted for free, and receive a sample of the red dirt from the field. All of the kids activities were free and so much fun! We also went to the Sam Adams Brewery. A brewery may not be the most popular tour for a child however, this tour was very informative for any age. The tour is FREE and at the end you get to sample beer.... kids get root beer.

Boston is known for its seafood especially lobster. Our favorite lobster places were James Hook and Co. and Yankee Seafood Co. James Hook was a very small restaurant and they also sold fresh seafood. Yankee Seafood had great jumbo lobster rolls and is very popular by locals and tourist. If you are not a fan of seafood or just want to mix it up then you could go to Temazcal Tequila Cantina. Temazcal it was a Mexican restaurant and has a good view of the water. Cheers is the place to go if you want an iconic restaurant. Cheers is based off of the hit show, and it is filled with pictures of the cast and memories of the show. When you have a sweet tooth Mike's Pastries is the place to visit. The whole store is filled with sweets but they are known for their cannolis. With many flavors of cannolis to choose from, your mouth will be in heaven and you may want to go each day you are in Boston. I suggest you walk to Mike's while you are on the Freedom Trail. It is only about one block off of the Freedom Trail, so it is convenient for a sweet treat.

As a kid you learn about Boston in the history books but being able to go there and actually seeing the sights was a whole different sight.
